"...a lush and welcome instrumentation, including Dagmar's string arrangements, and a,
warm production that catches the listener's ear immediately. The challenge of releasing
an EP is that it has to give a good representation of the artist's music and make the
listener feel that they have had a satisfying experience, while immediately wanting more.
This four-track effort accomplishes that with ease and should be a great foundation as
Dagmar builds this latest phase of her varied career."
Matt Mrowicki - Review of Anna Dagmar EP, Chorus and Verse

"Musically refreshing. Like a breath of fresh air! Anna Dagmar showers us with a
boatload of musical talent. Obvious in her songwriting skills, this talent is
overflowing with love and compassion. Anna brings us to the brink of musical bliss
while she displays everything she has experienced in musical form. Jazz influence,
pop appeal and a true passion for her music are demonstrated like an open book. This
lady doesn't hold back anything from us. A pleasure to hear and most likely even more
pleasing to see, "Can We Be Old Friends" strikes an arrow directly through the heart
with the depths of feeling she unleashes to us!!! Anna Dagmar is what real music is."
Duss Rodgers - Review of Anna Dagmar EP, Catsask Magazine

"Great live and equally as fabulous on cd! I had the pleasure of "stumbling" upon this
artist at her cd release party a few weeks ago at Mo Pitkins here in NYC. I was soo
taken with Anna Dagmar and her band. Anna's sound is so lush and real. The multi-
talented pianist/singer/songstress. The mark of an excellent artist is an engaging live
show and a beautiful studio cd. Anna does just that. A few cds under her belt, and
consistant live shows. Anna's cheery personality both on stage and on her recordings add
to her jazz rock sound. It's fresh! Check her cds and add them to your summer listening."
Jules Cohen - Review of Anna Dagmar EP, Jules RedjMusic

"The simplicity of the arrangement of "We're Alright Now," with just piano and vocal,
is very engaging. It's a beautiful tune with thoughtful lyrics. A pleasant work. "Can
We Be Old Friends" has a very soft and elegant melody. The poetic lyrics and the
intriguing music fit each other perfectly. The song would fit perfectly in a film.
Nicely done.
Song Reviews, Peace Driven Songs

"Anna Dagmar is a very skilled pianist. The notes are many and complicated. Some
pianists I hear and it makes me want to play so that I can duplicate it. This...never.
There aren't enough years left for me to be this good....She uses beautiful melodies....
On second listen I already was able to hum along to many of the songs. The melodies
were already familiar to me. But that's not to say it's derivative or trite, not at all. In fact,
I can't even come up with a strong comparison to Dagmar. She's an original....If
you enjoy the likes of Vienna Teng, early Sarah McLachlan you will probably also like
Anna Dagmar. Stand out songs: "She's got it in her Soul," (the piano tinkling on this
is great), "Midtown," and "Just After the Fall."
Amy Lotsberg - Review of Solo Songs, Collected Sounds

"A luscious voice, emotional lyrics and brilliant piano solos. She should be performing at
Carnegie Hall or the Kennedy Center."
Bill Adler - Review of Anna Dagmar EP, Give CDs

"...solid jazz-pop songwriting, bright piano playing, and earnest, honest vocals.
....Dagmar lays out her soul on every song....fans of heartfelt acoustic music will
find much individuality in Anna Dagmar's releases."
Zac Johnson - Review of Solo Songs, All Music Guide

"The disc...reveals Dagmar's beautiful voice wrapping itself around her solid
songwriting and supported by an elegant and distinctive piano soundtrack."
Matt Mrowicki - Article about Solo Songs, Chorus and Verse Magazine

"I hear hundreds of CDs and I have booked hundreds of showcases as the Director of
the NYC Songwriter's Circle. Once in a while, a CD really sticks out in its originality,
musicality, and artistry. Anna's CD is a rare find. 'I Can't Let Go,' especially, is a
catchy tune that you walk away humming (for days). She is a sophisticated player [with]
a real pop sensibility which makes it an easy listen to a wide market. I highly
recommend this new artist."
Tina Shafer - Director, NYC Songwriters Circle

"Folk-jazz pianist and vocalist Anna Dagmar Johnson offers up nine tracks of both spring
breezes and guarded insights on her debut CD, One More Time in the Air.
Comparisons to Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos are probably inevitable, since Johnson takes
similar excursions into jazzier territory than most folk artists, while experimenting
with dark chords and moods like Amos and Fiona Apple do. The harrowing 'Loser' lays
Johnson's affected voice and acoustic piano over a gritty drum beat and sparse feedback,
while the title track toys with the melody line like something off Court and Spark..."
